In August 2025, Marvin and Mathilde got married. A few months earlier, like many young Catholic parents, they were asking themselves an urgent question.
Marvin is a chaplain for middle schoolers. Every week, he meets 11, 12, 13-year-olds who have completed their catechism… and who no longer remember any saint or parable. The transmission broke down somewhere.
A generation
that has forgotten.
Three figures that sum up the urgency — and the beauty of the mission that awaits us.
From a Latin worda brand was born.
When Marvin and Mathilde began to imagine this object for their future children, they already knew what it should embody in its name: gentleness, spirituality, connection with Heaven.
The word came to them in Latin. Nubes — the cloud. A biblical symbol of God's presence, a sign of protection, an image of celestial lightness. The cloud that guided the Hebrew people in the desert. The cloud that enveloped the Virgin Mary at the Annunciation. The cloud, throughout sacred history.
From this ancient word, a modern form was born: Nubee. A soft, luminous object, placed in the child's room as a reassuring presence.
And Cyril arrived,
like a sign.
The same day,the same church.
Marvin and Cyril met at Saint-Dominique de Monpazier parish, in Périgord. A friendship at first. Then something rarer: a spiritual brotherhood that preceded the entrepreneurial adventure.
On the same day, in the same church, Marvin received baptism and Cyril his confirmation. A few months later, in Rome for the 2025 Jubilee, they were present on the day of Pope Francis' funeral — by a twist of fate no one could have predicted.
From these moments came an obvious truth: to do something together. Something that would transmit what had transformed them. Mathilde, the spiritual soul of the project, joined them from the start. Nubee was born from this friendship.
