They remove the figurine, playback pauses. They put it back later, and it resumes.

Scan the box
Upon receiving your Nubee, scan the QR code on the box using the app to activate your Holy Family Pack. A one-time operation.
Download content
The app automatically downloads all stories, prayers, and songs associated with your box. Only once, about 90 MB.
Transfer to Nubee
Bluetooth connection, transfer in a few minutes. Then Nubee works completely autonomously, without a phone, without Wi-Fi, anywhere.

An NTAG215 chip
in each figurine.
Each Nubee figurine contains an NTAG215 NFC chip — the same chip used by Tonies, Yoto, and Nintendo Amiibo. A proven technology, battery-free, that will last longer than the figurine itself.
Nubee's NFC antenna reads the unique identifier (7-byte UID) of the figurine in less than 200 milliseconds and immediately launches the corresponding content. No internet connection required — everything is stored locally on Nubee.
